Clare Russell-Williams is an experienced Clinical Psychologist and EMDR therapist based in the Blue Mountains, NSW. At Exhale Clinical Psychology, she provides high quality evidence-based psychological treatment that focuses on the unique experiences and needs of each individual.

Psychological treatment is offered both in-person and via telehealth.

Clare Russell-Williams (she/her) is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist with a depth of experience supporting people with a range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma (including developmental trauma, PTSD, and dissociation), perinatal mental health (including birth trauma and child loss), OCD, grief and loss, and life transition and adjustment issues. Clare has over a decade of experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including a specialist trauma recovery program and multiple perinatal mental health organisations.

Clare’s approach is warm, supportive, and accepting. She believes an authentic and collaborative therapeutic relationship is at the heart of successful therapy and provides a safe and supportive environment to assist people to navigate life’s challenges and recover from the past. All of Clare’s work is trauma-informed and underpinned by attachment theory. She is an experienced EMDR therapist and draws on other approaches such as parts work, CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Mindfulness, DBT, ACT, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), depending on individual needs.
